He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Lynch and Agnes Lynch (Kurash); and his son Chad Jones. He is survived by: his wife Laura Lynch of Waucoma; his children, Terra Smith (Shawn) of Andover, MN and Jeromy Jones of Bagley, WI; his siblings, Jim Lynch (Marty) of Mesquite, NV, Don Lynch (Mary) of Oklahoma City, OK and Ann Bodensteiner (Alan) of Hawkeye; and his sister-in-law Jean Lynch. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
