He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Jimmy Ridner. He is survived by: his siblings, Carl Shimek of Fredericksburg, Troy Cleveland (Cathy) of Cresco, Renee Nicosia (Bob) of Florida, Dani Dorenkamp (Mike) of Thornton, IA, Renee Ridner of Indiana, Tammy Malone of Indiana, Dori Dybevik Moore of Missouri and Dee Grimm of Iowa City; and his stepfather Gary Cleveland of Cresco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory (101 W Main St, New Hampton, IA 50659). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
