Donna Lou Farland Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Lou Farland of Waukee, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathias Starck and Marie Swartzendruber Starck; her husband Cliff; her siblings, McKinley Joseph Edwards, Jackie Graham and Marlene; her brother-in-law Dwane Altemeier; her stepfathers, McKinley Edwards and Jesse Carnahan; and her stepsiblings, Frank, Boyd, Dwight Carnahan, Doris VanderWerff and Nina Farland.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Farland (Bonnie) of Cedar Falls and Joni Farland of Waukee; her granddaughters, Sarah Fagan (Ryan), Abby Staniger (Steve) and Meredith Seuferer (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Isaac, Adam, Ellie, J. D., Taylor, Maya Staniger, Derek, Tate and Olivia Seuferer; her brother-in-law George Graham; and her stepbrothers, Charles Carnahan and Paul Carnahan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Infinity Home Care, St. Croix Hospice, A Bright Future for Kids, or a charity of your choice in loving memory of Donna.
