He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Meidt and Tekla Meidt (Alexis); and his sister Beth (Clark). He is survived by: his wife Karen of Waukee, IA; his children, Gregory (Laurie), Melody Leidall (Todd) and Christopher (Allison); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Meidt, Christy Meidt, Matthew Meidt, Katie Sue Meidt, Karen Vroman (Mark), Sadie Spanton (Taylor), Anna Thompson (Chad), Daniel Leidall (Hannah), Madeline Johnson (Ben), Eveline Meidt and Alexander Meidt; his great grandchildren, Melody, Vivian, Luke, Reagan, Duke, Forrest, Colt, Axel, Roman, Riggins, Margot, Lillian, James, Benny and Gloria; and his brother Joseph Meidt of Atlanta, GA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (1321 North Ave, Northfield, MN 55057). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
