It is with sadness that the passing of Matthew Ludwig of Waukee, Iowa is shared. Matthew, born on August 4, 1966, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike and Jeannie; his siblings, Mary and Tom; his grandparents, Frank, Harriet Ludwig, Joseph and Rose Rolfes; and his nephew Brandon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Beth Ludwig, John (Laura), Bill (Sue) and Nicky Cooney (Tom); his friends, Steve and Randy; his pet Quinn; his nieces and nephews, Cole (Nicole), Zeth (Sarah), Kyle (Ashley), Joe (Emma), Amanda, Sydney, Michael, Jacob, Hannah, Lindsey, Trevor, Tyler (Jayda) and Molly; his great-nephew Archie; and his great-niece Collins. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (1001 S James St, Grimes, IA 50111). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
