Rachel Marie Cummings Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rachel Marie Cummings of Waukee, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2025 at the age of 28. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Daniel Gebel and Anna K. Cummings; and her aunts, Julie Cummings and Rose Sessler. She is survived by: her parents, Thomas Gerard Cummings (Carrie) of Urbandale and Denise Mary Etzel (Gebel) of Clear Lake; her siblings, Michael Cummings, Sadie Etzel, Hailey Etzel, Ryan Jackson and Sarah Trnka (Cullen); her grandmother Dorothy Gebel; her stepgrandmother Tess Etzel; her siblings' children, Brielle Trnka, Brooks Trnka and Cash Etzel Savage; and her pet Tubs. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, any heartfelt donations will be accepted and used to honor Rachel's enduring desire to help others discover hope and healing. Gifts in her memory may be made to Thomas Cummings or Denise Etzel.
