He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bucknell and Shirley Bucknell; his wife Jeannie Alberts; his in-laws, Vernie and Edith Alberts; and his brother Craig Bucknell.
He is survived by: his sons, Shannon Bucknell of West Branch, IA and Wade Bucknell (Danielle) of Waukon, IA; his grandchildren, Liesl of Marion, Sullivyn, Teddy, Owyn of West Branch, Blythe and Easton of Waukon; his brothers, Bruce Bucknell (Linda) of Stewartville, MN, Harlan Bucknell (Pat) of Spring Valley, MN and Byron Bucknell of LeRoy, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Deb Bucknell of LeRoy, MN, Jim Alberts (Sheryl) of Fairbanks, IA, Tom Alberts (Evie) of Albert Lea, MN, Nancy Tucke (Merle) of Chester, IA, Pam Wendel (Jeff) of Chester, IA and Brenda Dohlman (Pete) of Riceville, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
