With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Don Buhl of Waukon, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome and Violet (Cebulla); his brother Roger Buhl; his brother-in-law Joel Burmeister; and his parents-in-law, Hap and Mae Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Buhl of Waukon; his children, Nicholas Buhl (Dawn) of Frederick, MD, Jonathan Buhl (Cathy) of Waukon and Elizabeth Rickard (Barry); his grandchildren, Lily Buhl, Miles Buhl, Sophia Rickard, Emma Rickard, Oliver Rickard, Connor Buhl and Cameron Buhl; his siblings, Kathy Gregg (Kevin) of Courtland, MN, Sue Burmeister of Sherburn, MN, Carol Schafer (Bryan) of Boyceville, WI, Ann Kuschel (Ron) of Becker, MN and Tom Buhl (Deb) of Jamestown, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Holz of Rochester, MN and Scott Jensen (Janette) of Sherburn, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and some very special friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Martin-Grau Funeral Home & Cremation Service (202 Allamakee St NW, Waukon, IA 52172). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
