He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thompson and Ruth Thompson (Rude); his siblings, Steve Thompson and Pam Hansen (Gene); and his nephew Charles Scott Haas.
He is survived by: his children, Erica Thompson (Marc Snitker) of Waukon, IA and Derek Thompson (Jordan Barton) of Cresco, IA; his grandchildren, Corbin Snitker, Hayden Lewis and Briggs Thompson; and his siblings, Cheryl Lenguadoro (Gerry) of Iowa Falls, IA, Wanda Haas (Jim Erwin) of Decorah, IA. and David Thompson (Sharon) of Decorah, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
