He was predeceased by : his father James Snitker; his grandparents, Lorrayne Snitker, Ronald Snitker, Leota Snitker, Anton Trenkamp and Mary Trenkamp; his brothers-in-law, John Bissell and Greg Sass; and his nephew Jeremy Bissell.
He is survived by : his mother Donna Snitker (Trenkamp) of Waukon; his wife Julie Haas of Waukon; his daughters, Michelle Julius (Jim) of Grimes, IA and Melissa Hughes Jr. (Teddy) of Postville, IA; his grandchildren, Chloe, Brody Hughes, Avery and Marisa Julius; his great grandchild Dean Schwan; his siblings, Sheila Mullen (Mike), Diane Bissell (Don Blume), Linda Ricketts (Ricky), Bonnie Brink (Dean), Peggy Sass (Jerry Lawman), Susie Brannigan (Jamie), Marc Snitker (Erica Thompson), Sandi Leska Jr. (Paul) and Marcia Dearduff (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Finnegan (Mike), Carol Decker (Gayle), Christine Murphy (John), Ted Haas (Dianne) and Tom Haas (Annette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Veterans Memorial Hospital, Crossing Rivers Hospice, or Missionary Ventures International.
