We are sad to announce that, on February 11, 2026, Walter Kurth Jr. (Waukon, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kurth and Florence Kurth (Schiff); his wife Janice Grahlman; his brothers, Gerald and Gilbert; and his sister-in-law June Sweeney.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Funk (Christian) and David Kurth (Darcy); his grandchildren, Julie Berger (Felix), Justin Jones, Emily Rathbone (Clay), Jordan Kurth and Joshua Yearous; and his brother-in-law Jim Grahlman (Sarah). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
