He is survived by: his wife Karen Platte; his children, Sarah Platte (Jon Richardson) of Tripoli, Elizabeth Rathjens (Tucker) of Waverly and Nathan Platte of Waverly; his granddaughter Carleigh Rathjens; and his siblings, Ann Kuker of Tripoli, Bruce Platte of Sumner, Michael Ganske (Julie) of Clymer, Ted Ganske (Diane) of Melbourne, Dean Ganske of Florida, Kathy Traetow (Roger) of Waverly and Craig Boevers (Lynne) of Tripoli.
