With sadness, we share the passing of Darwin Darrell Allen of Waverly, Iowa. Darwin, born on August 31, 1954, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Kenneth and Thelma Marie Allen (Means); his wife Debra Allen; his brothers, Brian Allen and Dean Allen; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Gebel, Sharon Allen and Barb Schuyler.
He is survived by: his children, Carver Allen (Arren) of Dunkerton, Matthew Allen (Ashley) of Howard, Ohio, Christine Gilstrap (Mike) of Waverly and Megan Dirksen (Brian) of Waverly; and his siblings, Gary Allen of Meridian and Karen Montgomery (Don) of Burlingame, Kansas.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Harvest Church (481 S Linn Ave, New Hampton, IA 50659). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
