It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Edwin Albrecht of Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Albrecht (Roloff) and Edwin Albrecht; his stepmother Marlys Albrecht; his siblings, Duane Albrecht and Ruth Rodenbeck; and his brothers-in-law, Don Rodenbeck and Steve Greiner.
He is survived by: his wife Fannie Albrecht of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Dan Albrecht (Tracy) of Cedar Rapids, Cindi Zelle of Hudson and David Albrecht (Jess) of Shell Rock; his grandchildren, James Albrecht (Angie), Bryan Albrecht (Angela), Stacy Albrecht (Josh Bohlen), Lindsay McClung (Joshua), Amanda Dixon (Brad), Shelby Palmersheim (Mathias), Emily Billman (Brad), Amy Rieck (Ryan), Robin Bayles Paquin (Phil), Aubrie Woltz and Grace Woltz; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Shaylynn, Michael, Makylie, Austin, Zane, Lennox, Addison, Alex, August, Ethan, Carter, Kayci, Nora and Harper; and his sisters, Shirley Ritter (Dave), Sheryl Greiner, Joyce Schafbuch (Paul) and Julie Grosser (Jim).
