He is survived by: his nephew Mark; his brother-in-law Leland Alcock; his grandsons, Eugene and Josh (Rachael); his wife VerJean; his children, Lori Walther of Waverly and Brian Walther of Los Angeles; and his siblings, Frieda Davis, Richard Walther, Hans, Paul, Karli Walther and AnnaMarie DeYoung.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's United Church of Christ - Siegel (1529 Killdeer Ave, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
