He was predeceased by: his parents, August Stafford and Nellie Stafford (Reiners); his brother Steven Eugene; his parents-in-law, Celia Slack and Isabelo Apilado; and his sisters-in-law, Tamea Garcia and Rosita Meithof.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Garcia; his sons, Steve Stafford (May) of Las Vegas and Christian Stafford (Meganne) of Waverly, Iowa; his granddaughter Ava; and his sisters-in-law, Laura Minor (Hank) of Oregon, Marlene Hood of Oregon and Alyssa Thomas of Oregon.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Waverly Civic Center (200 1st St NE, Waverly, IA 50677).
Memorials may be directed towards the family and will be used to donate towards a charity of their choice.
