He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Herman Hein and Marie Reyelts Hein. He is survived by: his wife Carol Bergquist; his sister Karen Green (Mike) of Utah; his sister-in-law Sharon Sullivan (Jim) of Florida; his nieces and nephews, Paul Hein of Iowa City and Tracey Huffman (Bob) of Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Quinnton and Daulton Huffman of Pennsylvania.
Lastly, his final years were spent fighting Parkinson's disease and a note of thanks goes out to Windmill Manor in Coralville for all the love and care their staff showed Herman and his family.
