We are sad to announce that, on March 19, 2026, at the age of 95, Hillis DeVere Creger of Waverly, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillis R. Creger and Elna L. Creger (French); his wife Norma Jean Creger; and his siblings, Richard, Robert Creger and Frieda Avery.

He is survived by: his children, Pam Gahr (Jerry) of Rolla, Missouri, Douglas Creger (Rhynonda) of Waverly and Steven Creger (Kay) of West Union; and his grandchildren, Andrea Lawson, Rebecca Southard, Marshall Creger, Cameron Creger, Nikki Schroeder, Jason Gahr, Daniele Fulgium and Joshua Gahr. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Cedar Valley Hospice.
