He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Beem and Grayce Beem (DeWitt); his half-sister Carolyn Stammeyer; his daughter Brigitte Beem; Bradley Beem.

He is survived by: his stepfather Raymond Ball; his children, Richard Beem (Jessica) of Waunakee, Wisconsin and Susanne Deike (Jason) of Shell Rock; his daughter-in-law Yvonne Beem of Waverly; his grandchildren, Trevor "T. J." Beem, Abigail Beem, Logan Beem, Jacob Deike and William Deike; his great grandchild Ember Beem; his sister Vickie Barth (Paul) of Waverly; and his close friend Marge George.
