She was predeceased by: her father Wilbert H. Brase; her husband Larry; her parents-in-law, Alfred and Minnie Schmidt; and her sister Carolyn Schrage (Terry).
She is survived by: her mother Arlene Louise Judisch; her daughters, Joyce, Gretchen Smith (David) of Rifle and Heidi Abben (Ed) of Waverly, Iowa; her granddaughters, Faith, Elizabeth, Gracie and Amelia Abben; and her close friend Bruce Besh.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (301 1st St NW, Waverly, IA 50677).
Memorials may be directed towards the Waverly Area Veterans Post, St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School, or Cedar Valley Hospice.
