He is survived by: his pets, Earthly, Stitches, Babe, Corrie and Hannah; his wife Kay Nellis; his children, Thad Nellis (Lisa) of Clarinda, IA and RaeJean Cole (Jeff) of Waverly; his grandchildren, Raymond Nellis, Matthew Nellis (Taylor), Kyle Nellis, Claire Nellis, Chelsey (Dakota Winkler) and Cody Blasberg (Taylar); his sister Beth Goodvin; his brother-in-law Larry Gilmer; and his nephews, Jon and Jay.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Global Methodist Church (1201 230th St, Waverly, IA 50677). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
