He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford "Bill" Buege and Dorothy Buege (West); and his brother Dan Buege (Signe). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kodie, Carson, Baylor and Beckett; his wife Lisa Mellick; his children, Bethany Good (Tim) of Grand Lake, CO and Thad Buege (Keevan) of Iowa City; his sister Donna Winke (Darwin) of Thornton, CO; and his parents-in-law, Tom and Mary Mellick of Waukon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (101 2nd St SW, Waukon, IA 52172). Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Empty Nest Winery (1352 Apple Rd, Waukon, IA 52172).
