He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Richard and Gladys Balik. He is survived by: his father Eric Eckerman of Waverly, IA; his children, Elizabeth and Casey Eckerman of Readlyn, IA; his mother Sue Eckerman; his sisters, Alysa Andrade (Alex) of Des Moines, IA, Haley, Olivia, Coryn and Jillian Eckerman of Waverly, IA; his aunt Jeanne; his uncle David Alcantara of Waverly, IA; his nephew Theodore Andrade of Des Moines, IA; and his grandparents, Deb and Lindsey Eckerman of Waverly, IA. He is also survived by twelve aunts and uncles and a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (2700 Horton Rd, Waverly, IA 50677). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
