We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Vivian Ruth Chestnut of Waverly, Iowa, born in Charles City, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, A. J. Kluiter and Ruth Kluiter (Niehaus); her husband Bob; her sons, Matthew and David; and her parents-in-law, Viva and Robert Harry Chestnut.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Jesteny Poesch (Chris) of Waukee, Shelena Pascual of Nashua and Colin Chestnut of Waverly; her great grandchild Aiden Bloomquist of Nashua; her sister Myrna Culbertson (John) of Waverly; and her siblings-in-law, Beverly Engelkamp of Bellevue, Nebraska and Doug Chestnut (Marilyn) of Lakeside, Montana.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home (218 2nd St SE, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Global Methodist Church (1201 230th St, Waverly, IA 50677).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Heritage Global Methodist Church or the Allen College Foundation and sent to Myrna Culbertson, 1216 Bach Drive, Waverly, IA 50677.
