With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin C Leichty of Wayland, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edwin C Leichty to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Rachel Leichty (Miller) and Henry Leichty; his daughter Lisa England (Leichty); his grandson Aaron Brown; his great grandchild Jeremiah Keatts; and his siblings, Verda Mae, Ellis, Marion Leichty and Lois Hochstetler.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Leichty; his children, Sidney, Barry (Joanie), Nancy Sellergren (Barry), Nanette Brown (Ken) and Scott Leichty (Kim); his son-in-law Todd England; and his grandchildren, Faith Leichty, Hilary Keatts (Joshua), Nate Sellergren (Lindsey), Brooke Carter (Jeremy), Sara Yoder (Donovan), Reid Leichty (Jessie), Eric Brown, Tyler Leichty (Jessica), Katlin Leichty, Hunter England (Katelyn) and Lauren England. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; several cherished brothers and their spouses; a sister; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Independent Bible Church (413 N Washington St, Wayland, IA 52654).
