Laverne Messer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2023, at the age of 79, Laverne Messer of Wayland, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parent Perl Messer. He is survived by : his mother Betty Messer (Brewster); his wife Linda (Miller); his children, Roni Messer (Craig Glover) of Cedar Rapids, Jodi Pelkowski (Pat) of Derby and Marc Messer (Brittany) of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Shae Pelkowski (Karen), Brin Pelkowski (Ken Shockley) and Aubree Messer; his great grandchild Eliza Pelkowski; and his brothers, Gene Messer (Darla) of Wayland, Gary Messer (Lori) of Wayland and Dan Messer (Terry Kirk) of Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to greet friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Masonic Service and Eastern Star Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), Kids Cancer Charity, and Cottonwood Cemetery.

Pearl and Betty were friends of my parents ( Leroy and Elisie) and kept in touch yet after they moved to Coppock.
