He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter R. Grieser and Lillie Grieser (Schilling); his grandson Justin Reschly; and his siblings, Beulah Wittrig (Allen), Maurice Grieser (Leila) and Pearl Puckett (Darrell).

He is survived by : his wife Betty Miller of Wayland; his children, Twila Grieser, Ranee Reschly (Mick), Judy Ham (Ray), Doyle Grieser (Barb) and Jalaine Fishell (Paul); and his grandchildren, Lori Reschly Leeman, Jessica Reschly Klahn, Aissa Ham Jones, Rob Ham, TJ Ham, Nathan Grieser, Christian Grieser, Brendan Grieser, Grace Grieser Schaefer and Tyrone Taylor. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established for the Bethel Church.
