He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Bordwell and May Bordwell (Wiese); his brother Robert Bordwell; and his nephews, Kevin and Robbie Bordwell.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Thompson; his sons, Donnie Bordwell Jr. of Duncombe, Scott Bordwell (Sonjia) of Webster City and Terry Bordwell (Amanda) of Webster City; his grandchildren, Lindsay, Abbey, Destiny, Mason and Fina; his great grandchild Isabella; his siblings, Deral Bordwell (Wanda) of Osage Beach, MO, Debra Alexander (Vern) of Webster City and Carolyn Hodshon (James) of Eldon, MO; his sister-in-law Cathleen Bordwell of Omaha, NE; and his mother-in-law JoAnn Snyder of Marshalltown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Don's honor to the American Legion Post #191.
