She was predeceased by: her husband H. Dean Simpson; her parents, Everett Crystal and Bertha Crystal (Elkin); her sisters, Georgianna Gourley, Mary Boicourt and Violet Short-Barrick; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Gourley, Marvin Boicourt, Estel Short, Harry Barrick, Royal Norman and Alfred Buchner.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Simpson (Diane) of Cantonment, FL and Tarry Myers of Story City; her granddaughters, Jacki Edge (Jeff) and Jodi Woods (Brad); her great grandchildren, Katie Marlowe (Charlie), Natalie Pittman (Brett), Nicole White (Brandon) and Maddy Edge; her great great grandchildren, Charlotte Marlowe and Josie White; and her siblings, Dorothy Buchner of Kansas City, MO, Elizabeth Norman of Cedar Rapids, Jean Kayser (Jon) of Webster City, Bud Crystal (Carol) of Webster City and Bill Crystal (Diane) of Ames. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
