He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Nelson and Phyllis Nelson (Heidick); his sister Rose Herrmann; his brothers-in-law, Robert Hermann and Donald Pinkele; and his nephews, Adam Pinkele and Rob Herrmann.
He is survived by: his siblings, Art Nelson (Janet) of Germantown, Wisconsin, Mike Nelson (Mary) of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Merlyn Nelson of Ames, Iowa, Louise Pinkele (late Donald Pinkele) of Clear Lake, Iowa, Eileen Nelson of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Debbie Nelson of Duncombe, Iowa.. He is also survived by extended family includes many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Foster Funeral Home (800 Willson Ave, Webster City, IA 50595). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at the Calendar Washington Lutheran Cemetery.
