LaVerne leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. LaVerne’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew LaVerne will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Keisha Hassebrock; and his brother Merlin Bjustrom. He is survived by: his wife Janice Firnhaber; his children, Mark Bjustrom, Kurt Bjustrom (Stacie) and Shelli Hassebrock (Duane); and his grandchildren, Kyli, Kane and Koby Hassebrock.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:30 PM at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center (800 Willson Ave, Webster City, IA 50595). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Stanhope High School.
