She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Brim and Margaret Brim (Lyle); her husband Ronald Hemmen; her daughter Paula Holloway; her granddaughter Renae Holloway; her great grandchild Jeremiah Jannenga; and her sister Bonnie Habhab (Abbas).

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Peterson (Randy) of Des Moines, Sonia Humble (John) of Woolstock and Darren (Michon) of Waukee; and her siblings, Bette Willingham (Paul) and Lyle Brim (Marlene). She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
