He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Floyd and Ruth Moore (Whitter); his son Tracy Moore; his siblings, Karen Peterson, Beth Langner, Kenneth E. Moore and Gary Moore; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Moore, Rich Langner and Don Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Leon Riley of Webster City; his son Travis Moore (Lori) of Story City; his grandchildren, Torri Doughty (Tanner), Tiffany Kuhlemeier (Dylan), Brayden Moore and Holden Moore; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Emerson, Tracy and Tatum; and his brothers, Floyd Moore of Wellington, KS and Ron Moore (Kim) of Webster City.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Williams Community Center (300 Beech St, Williams, IA 50271).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Melvin's memory to Williams Legion Post #633.
