He was predeceased by : his parents, Mert Beightol and Hazel Beightol (Hoover); his brother Frank Beightol; and his parents-in-law, Merle and Arlene Shelton.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Shelton; his family Westerns; his children, Teresa Housley (Shawn) of Ankeny, IA and Kevin Beightol of Webster City; his grandchildren, Ryan Doolittle and Alyssa Altman (Noah); and his siblings-in-law, John Shelton (Barb) and Jane Clark (Jim).
