She was predeceased by : her parents, Chester Nelson and Mavis Nelson (Brewer); her husband Byron Cordes; her children, Kathleen Jo and Mark Alan; and her sister Pauline Freeborn.

She is survived by : her children, Connie Johnson (Bruce) of Ames, IA, Bruce Cordes (Rose) of Bondurant, IA and Michael Cordes (Denise) of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Matt Hassebrock (Rob) of New Orleans, LA, Ben Hassebrock (Stephanie) of Philadelphia, PA, Melanie Frisk (Mike) of Ames, IA, Krista Cordes-McCue (Pam) of Waukee, IA, Mark Cordes of Waukee, IA and Nikki Westrope (Ben) of St. Augustine, FL; her great grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Mya, Kaleb, Lauren, Brooke, Brady, Finlea and Keating; and her sister Sharon Petersen.

Nadine was a member of the Kamrar Methodist Church, Kamrar Women's club, Webster City Women's club, the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge, RSVP, and Faith United Methodist Church.
