She is survived by: her husband Bob Burns; her daughter Norma Jean Orton (Corey) of Kansas City, KS; her grandchildren, Andrew Orton (Michelle) of Olathe, KS and Katie Orton (Mickey Van Horn) of Leavenworth, KS; her great grandchildren, Oliver and Arthur; her sisters, Joan Gaston of Colfax, IA and Pam Jondal (Mike) of Webster City, IA; and her sister-in-law Claudia Hoversten of Anchorage, AK..
She enjoyed gardening—both vegetables and flowers—planting trees and was a proud member of the Arbor Day Foundation.
