He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Gingerich and Louisa Gingerich (Swartzendruber); and his sister Minnie Knepp. He is survived by: his uncle Ora Gingerich; his wife Wilma Marie; his children, Greg Gingerich (Peggy) of Iowa City, Patti Gingerich Stutzman (Bob Van Hoozer) of Kalona and Tom Gingerich (Susan) of Mansfield Texas; his great grandchildren, Amy Gingerich and Anna Gingerich of Iowa City; his sisters, Doris Nafziger, Mary Hickman and Mollie Miller; and also Daniel of Mallorca.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (504 12th St, Kalona, IA 52247). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wellman Baptist Church.
A memorial fund has been established for First Baptist Church in Wellman and the Wellman Volunteer Fire Dept.
