He is survived by: his daughters, Jenny Miller (Dane), Julie Redlinger and Janelle Wayt (Mitch); his grandchildren, Gavin, Abel Miller, Chloe Weber and Ellisyn Wayt; and his former wife Deanna Poe.

A memorial fund has been established for the Washington County Sheriff's Department K-9 unit.
