He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Schweitzer and Malinda Schweitzer (Stutzman); his brother Larry Schweitzer; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Hochstetler, Judi Schweitzer and Donna Schweitzer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Swartzendruber (Dot); his children, Michael Schweitzer (Melanie) of Wellman, Keith Schweitzer (Barb) of Wellman, Barbara Hochstetler (Brent) of Wellman, Melinda Hathaway (Timothy) of Wellman and Amy Graf (Nathan) of Wellman; and his siblings, Elaine Hochstetler, Judy Beachy (Wayne), Willard Schweitzer and Mahlon Schweitzer (Kaye).
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to Hospice of Washington County or Washington County Ambulance Service.
