We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2023, at the age of 72, John Martensen of Welton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John H. Martensen and Betty Martensen (Bickford); his sister Wendy Passig; and his sisters-in-law, Deborah Berner and Brenda Mickey.

He is survived by : his wife Jean; his children, Shannon Van Zuiden (Todd) of Morrison and Jon "Bud" Martensen (Angela) of Welton; his grandchildren, Brandon, Bailey, Hunter, Halie, Xavier and Alexander; his siblings, Ellen, Dale and Arla; his in-laws, Sherry Haack (Donald), Kenneth Mickey (Sharon), Rita Cochran and James Mickey; and also Fred Passig. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
