With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martin A. Pitz of Welton, Iowa, born in Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Pitz and Ella Pitz (Kloft); and his brother Jordan. He is survived by : his wife Sandy Pitz of Welton; his stepsons, Cameron Dixon of Dallas and Jared Dixon (Brittany) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Addy, Sawyer and Nora of Lexington; his siblings, Holly Streeter (Randy) of Fayette, Gina Pitz of Platteville, Diane Magnani (Alan) of Mt. Pleasant and Mike Pitz of La Motte; and his in-laws, Jessica Pitz of Madison, Leonie Hooper of Moosomin, Garry Couckuyt (Vivian) of Boissevain, Wayne Patterson of Boissevain and Ellen Leonard of Kingston.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marty's memory to the Zwingle Recreation Area or the American Cancer Society.
