She is survived by: her son Steve Slach (Jodie Criswell) of Davenport; her nephews, Sean McCarty (Mundi) of Solon and Chad McCarty (Michelle) of North Liberty; her brother Danny Abel (Ann) of Dundee, Scotland; her sister-in-law Helen Abel of Helensborough; and her friend Doreen Harper of Oldmeldrum. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bird House or the charity of your choosing.
