She was predeceased by : her parent Anneliese Weiler (Schmitt); and her aunt Inge Nickel. She is survived by : her daughters, Heather Rich (Brandon) and Danielle Brissey (Darien); her grandsons, Jason, Kai, Cohen and Oziyah; her aunt Ruth Hoffman; her cousin Brent Maxwell (Sarah); and also, Brenden and Michaela.

A memorial has been established for the Sea Turtle Conservation Fund.
