She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry J. Schnicker and Keo C. Glantz Schnicker; her husband Paul Willard Nelson; and her sisters, Violet, Elizabeth and Rachel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christina Hanger (Joel) of Burlington and Margaret Nelson of Ottumwa, IA; her grandchildren, Nicholas Hanger (Casey) and Alixandria Moser (Kaleb); and her great grandchildren, Addison and Riley. She is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601).
A memorial has been established for Messiah Lutheran Church.
