He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Diveney and Frances Diveney (Mortenson); and his siblings, Milton Diveney, Jr., James Diveney and Joan Peck.

He is survived by: his wife Lonna Diveney of Keokuk; his children, Darin Diveney (Amanda) of Hamilton, Illinois and Kimberly "Kim" Kirchner (Dennis) of Keokuk; his siblings, Daniel Diveney (Diane), Patrick Diveney (Fina), Sandra Brown (Scott) and Susan Diltz; his grandchildren, Darion Weber (Jessica), Mikelle Lewis (Drew), Alexsis Williams (Tremanye), Devin Diveney (Katelyn), Alayna Hernandez (Pablo), Dylan Diveney (Bridget), Mason Diveney, Micah Diveney and Merrick Diveney; and his stepgrandchild Marlee Stephenson. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to missions at Cornerstone Church in Keokuk.
