He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kirk; his sons, Nick Kirk and Darrell Kirk of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Noah Kirk of Clarinda, Clayton Kirk of Ames, Nathan Kirk of Ames and Lexi Kirk of Scottsdale; his sister Donna Williams (Robert) of Norwalk; and his sister-in-law Alice Austin of Afton.

In lieu of flowers memorials are to the family to be determined.
