She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Arnold and Bessie Pearl Kralik (Starry); her husband Gene Petersen; her grandchildren, Ryan Douglas and Jenna Lynn Petersen; and her brother Dick Kralik.
She is survived by: her sons, Brent Petersen (Barb Thorsheim) of Granger and Greg Petersen (Jennifer) of Ankeny, Iowa; her granddaughter Katie Strait (Ron) of Ackley, Iowa; and her stepgrandson Izaac Hawkins of Ankeny, Iowa..
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa where many furry friends can benefit as Arlene always had a big heart for all animals big and small.
