He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Twit and Javerna Twit (Birkestrand); his sister Elaine Weeks; his former wife Kay; and his son Thomas.
He is survived by: his son Randy Twit; his granddaughters, Courtney, Stephany and Mallory Twit; and his siblings, Kenneth (Kay Twit) of St. Petersburg, FLA and Tania Cole of DeLand, FLA..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McLaren's Resthaven Chapel & Mortuary (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at the McClaren's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sons of Norway, the Slater Historical Society, or the University of Iowa Athletic Dept.
