He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. McKibben and Myrtle McKibben (Barrett); his brother William E. McKibben, Jr.; his sister-in-law Shirley McKibben; and his grandson Sean Nielsen.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Olcott; his sons, Barrett L. McKibben II (Sheri) of Manassas, VA, William E. McKibben (Marlys) and West; his grandchildren, Barrett L. "Trey" McKibben III, Caroline Spear, Ryan Spear (Olivia) and Daphne Hayes-Mentzer; and his great grandchild Elena Dole.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Soteria Church (3250 SE Soteria Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
