We announce the death of Daryl L. Schoenfeld in West Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 83. Daryl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schoenfeld and Irene Schoenfeld; his former wife Donna J. Barth; his sister Virola; and his brother-in-law Don Barth.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Wegner Schoenfeld; his daughter Cynthia Bahls (Bill) of Grimes, IA; his stepdaughter Kristin Wegner of Lincoln, NE; his siblings-in-law, Lonna Peterson (Fred) of Madison, WI, Maureen Barth of Omaha, NE and Doug Weishahn (Renee) of Lincoln, NE; and his close friends, Bob, Jan Fenemore, Terry and Vivian Edwards. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
